This knife has a shallow belly that may be specifically designed for skinning similar to the SGB Saddleback. The Backstrap is unique because it does not have a bolster but relatively a slab style deal with. The satin finished blade is made of 1.4116 German Cutlery steel and has a Rockwell hardness of 55-57.
